The architectural company Willen Associates Architekten was founded in 1992 by Jürgen C. B. Willen in Frankfurt am Main and has been based in Wiesbaden since 1995. Since its inception, the firm has stood for architecture that combines aesthetic quality, high-quality materials, and sustainable thinking.

Founder Jürgen C. B. Willen studied architecture in Holzminden and Hanover, then furthered his education in London at the Architectural Association School of Architecture and the Slade School of Fine Art. There, he worked with professors such as William Alsop, Tanja Riccius, and Bruce McLean, developing an interdisciplinary approach to architecture and design.

He gained international experience through collaborations and projects with renowned architectural firms, including working with Norman Foster in London and at Alfredo Arribas's office in Barcelona.

The work of Willen Associates Architects covers a broad spectrum from architecture and urban planning to interior design, product design, and event design. A central theme of the firm is the responsible use of ecological resources in conjunction with economic requirements. This approach is reflected in numerous completed projects, including low-energy, passive, and plus-energy buildings.

Among the honors are awards from the Association of German Architects, nominations for the German Architecture Prize, and international competition successes. In addition, the firm has received the “Golden Lily” award from the city of Wiesbaden several times for outstanding architecture.
